Tuchel Frustrated by Chelsea Draw at Elland Road

The Thomas Tuchel side had many opportunities but can't give a knock on a hard clash in Elland Road.

Blues left in fourth place and West Ham who are in fifth position are only three points behind them with two matches in hand when the race to qualify for the Champions League seems to be going down to the wire. Tuchel is now unbeaten in 12 matches in all competitions since replacing Frank Lampard who was fired in January. With clean sheets in their last five matches, Chelsea just conceded two goals in that period. However, the assessment problems of their goal under Tuchel reappeared because of the opportunity to come and go in Yorkshire Rain. They haven't scored more than two goals in any match in the Tuchel era.

Champions League Wednesday, the last 16 seconds against Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge - with Chelsea lead 1-0 - will be another stern test of their Renaissance under their Paris Saint-Germain boss. Tuchel made six changes from Monday's victory against Everton when Christian Pulisic replaced Timo Werner after reporting the United States winger was not happy with the lack of his actions since Germany took over.

On Friday, Tuchel urged Pulisic to take his chance when he arrived, said about a player who worked with him at Borussia Dortmund: "He is in my plan. When he arrives."

Leeds and Chelsea have fierce rivals since their brutal FA Cup final clashes in 1970, but there was no fan because of the locking of Coronavirus diluted the Blues First League visit to Elland Road since 2003. The poor quality of Jalan Elland's field almost completely reminded the battle on the mudfield which defined the Chelsea meeting with Leeds in the 1970s.
