If any criticism has been laid on clubs like PSG, it is their seemingly unlimited spending power, which even 'Financial Fair Play' has not managed to curb. Koeman has pointed precisely that out when he was questioned by his opponents in the last sixteen of the Champions League.
The Dutch coach, in a brief appearance for official Barcelona channels, analysed the Champions' Round of 16 match against PSG. "A strong team can always come up, and we got PSG, but we are strong and the play-offs are even," he said.
"In recent years PSG have spent a lot of money to have a chance of winning big titles like the Champions. They reached the final last year and they have to be there every time. But we want to be there too. I see a nice and even match," he added.
He did not want to go much deeper into the play-offs, as they will not be played until February. "We can't say much more because we don't know what will happen in February," he explained.
"First we must focus on LaLiga and then see if we recover our injured players to face them", said Ronald Koeman.
