An iPhone Stuck on the I-Cloud Lock isn't the End.

Can you remember what you were doing in 2011? Though not a year which particularly stands out much of interest did take place. The now infamous Charlie Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men, a huge earthquake and tsunami struck Japan, the ground-breaking and globally popular HBO series Game of Thrones premiered, and at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference announced the launch of its revolutionary iCloud service. Before the launch of iCloud Apple owners had access to MobileMe, a range of online services available via a simple subscription.

The first time iCloud was officially mentioned was in early May 2011. Californian tech giant Apple announced it would showcase its new cloud function later in the year. iCloud was revolutionary at the time, it allowed users to store their music, photos, apps, reminders and more securely on the cloud. Third-party developers were also immediately able to plug iCloud into their apps using a simple API. iCloud would also allow users to 'Backup and Restore' their settings and saved items, enhancing their security.

One of the most well-received functions of iCloud was Find My iPhone, this featured allowed Apple users to track all of their iOS and Mac devices in a single place. Location was so precise users could track their phones to almost the exact house they could be found at. It wasn't until 2013 that Activation Lock was introduced as an extension to Find My iPhone. Activation Lock allowed iOS devices to be locked completely under several circumstances. Though praised at the time, Activation Lock began to cause iPhone owners and buyer some serious problems.

Interestingly, though iCloud is now widely accepted as a huge milestone in Apple's growth and development, at the time many MobileMe users were unhappy with the disbanding of MobileMe and launched a class-action lawsuit against Apple. Safe to say this was unsuccessful and they were left having to like it or lump it.

When iCloud becomes a problem
Though useful when it works in your favour iCloud, and particularly Activation Lock associated with Find My iPhone can be a real pain for many honest Apple users. Both are useful in several circumstances. When restoring previous settings on a new iPhone, when additional storage above and beyond a device's internal memory is required, or if a device is stolen and the owner needs to apply the Activation Lock to avoid anybody else using the device.

However, this anti-theft measure can catch well-meaning iPhone owners out and leave them feeling helpless. It's such a strong measure that when in place users are left with almost no way to recover the device. Often people are worried to seek help for fear that others will think they have obtained the device illegally given the need to remove the iCloud Activation Lock; however, there are a whole host of legitimate reasons as to why you may need to Unlock iCloud.

Some of these reasons include purchasing a device in the second-hand market which the user has failed to remove from their iCloud. When this happens if you cannot contact the seller the device will be locked to an iCloud without any way for you to access the device. You may also have attempted to login too many times with the wrong password, this will leave the phone without function. Last users often find they have erased an iPhone without signing out of Find My iPhone, leaving the phone locked without access. In any of these scenarios, you will require an iCloud Unlock to recover the functionality of your device.

Is iCloud Activation Removal legal and safe?
When using a reliable, trusted company, iCloud Unlock is perfectly legal and safe. Trusted companies work with third-party providers to remove the iCloud Activation Lock for honest iPhone owners who have been left in the dark without assistance. Once the iCloud Activation Lock is removed the iPhone will be able to run through a standard setup with the owner able to opt to add an iCloud account or not. So if you've been left with an iPhone that's no more useful than a paperweight and are looking for a reliable iCloud Unlock service head over to DirectUnlocks.
