Vandrezzer FC has announced the signing of Brazilian winger Ivo Jorge Santos da Costa (Ivo Júnior) and right back Luiz Henrique.
Both players joined to bolster attacking options and form formidable chemistry from the right flank.
Vandrezzer FC announced on the official website that the two new arrivals and midfield maestro, Alberico Da Silva whose contract was renewed for another year will form the core of the team.
Both Da Silva and Ivo Júnior have proceeded to self-isolate themselves after arriving in Nigeria on Thursday and thereafter will take a second COVID 19 test in conformity with the club’s and health ministry’s coronavirus safety guidelines.
27 year old Ivo Júnior returns to Nigeria after a stint with Heartland in 2017/18 NPFL season, which was not concluded due to internal problems within the Nigerian Football Federation.
The Rio de Janeiro native has also had spells with Rio – based sides Flamengo, Fluminense, Bangu, Macaé, and Barra da Tijuca, before playing for Koprivnica (Croatia), and Shkupi FC (North Macedonia).
“Ivo’s addition is expected to greatly influence the attacking options of coach Raphael Everton, who plans to have a more attack-minded squad in the coming season,” the official statement reads.
His signing is the second in a series of planned player acquisitions ahead of the 2020/21 NNL season
